In 1986, following a career spent working for large Multi-National companies, predominately in the fields of Engineering and Research & Development, Arthur Hissey decided to start his own company whilst pursuing his post graduate studies in Computer Science.

In that same year a major Dubbo freight company was looking to develop software that would allow it to highly automate its freight procedures. They approached Arthur to write the original software for them. This was the beginning of Hissey and Associates, the parent company of Computer Research and Technology. Hissey and Associates now heads a group of other high tech companies and businesses as well. They range from manufacturing, importing, design and consultancy services

From this small beginning, Arthur, current Managing Director and Chief Technical Officer of Computer Research & Technology, began a company that would ultimately grow from a small team, into an enterprise company that today employs an ever expanding staff of the highest technical and business skills available.
