These whips are hand made in Australia using leather that has been tanned in Australia. They are made using traditional whip making techniques that have been handed down through generations of whip makers. Stock Whips

The kangaroo hide thongs are made entirely of kangaroo hide, from the core right through to the overlay, to give a dense thong with good weight but not too much bulk.

The range of redhide whips are made differently from most whips in that all of the beveling (shaping of the strand), is done on the weaker "flesh" side of the strands, which are on the inside of the whip when it is plaited, leaving the stonger "hair" side complete on the outside of the whip. This means it is more resistant to moisture and wear.

All whips are supplied with half  plait cane handles finished with a pinapple knot on the knob at the end of the handle. Fully plaited steel lined handles can be supplied upon request. Click on the images below to have a closer look at our quality whips.
